Could I, through your columns, and as one of the participants of the Deni Hospital nurse reunion, express profound gratitude to Judy Murrells and her merry little band of helpers for the amazing event it turned out to become.
They all deserve to be heartily commended for a job well done, considering it was arranged in such a short time.
That the event was mainly arranged from out of town by the main organisers, which made it even more special - phones were running hot.
The attention to detail made the room look amazing, plus the extra things like the memorial and PowerPoint display of countless photos made the trip down memory lane priceless.
It was indeed memorable to be able to touch base with people from many states, with a great time span of ages and memories.
It was a privilege to have been able to tread those hallowed halls (of Deniliquin Hospital) when it was such a vital part of our lives and careers.
Lifelong friendships were made and when, in the good old days, there was a School of Nursing and the camaraderie was so supportive.
Also, a shout out to Scott Buckley and Damon Wilson, and their staff at the Coach House, for the wonderful lunch. It was well presented and with varied choices.
Thanks Jude and girls for an unforgettable and wonderful day. You are to be congratulated.
Yours etc.
