Nora turns 70 with fabulous festivities

Bright balloons, colourful clothes and a delicious sponge cake — Nora McCarthy celebrated her 70th birthday in style.

The celebrations were held at Overlander restaurant in Shepparton on Saturday, December 20, with around 100 family and friends in attendance.

Nora’s sons travelled from Sydney and Melbourne with her two grandchildren to celebrate with her.

Her many friends of 40 years included friends from the sporting and Filipino communities.

Guests enjoyed a delicious lunch, with some Hawaiian and Samoan dancing in costume.
