From Monday, June 2, council’s recovery officers will be available from several council locations across the shire, including the Rochester Service Centre.
Campaspe Shire Mayor Daniel Mackrell said that there had been decreasing demand for services from the Campaspe Recovery Hub in Rochester in recent months.
“More than two-and-a-half years on from the October 2022 flood event, many government departments and community agencies have now transitioned their recovery operations to alternative delivery models,’’ he said.
The engagement of the relief, resilience and recovery co-ordinator will see ongoing support in recovery, resilience and relief across the municipality.
Services that operated out of the Mackey St hub, including Anglicare Victoria’s Recovery Support Program and financial counsellors will be available at the Rochester Service Centre.
Should additional services be required, the recovery officers will be able to arrange a referral to Greater Bendigo, Loddon and Campaspe’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Local, EACH Small Business Financial Counselling, Headspace, Stride, ARC Justice and Rural Aid.
