Shepparton police are investigating an assault which occurred at Mooroopna Secondary College yesterday afternoon.

Shepparton police Detective Acting Sergeant Cherrie McCaig said two males were involved in an altercation at the school at around 3.30pm.
“A male student at the school has had a confrontation with another male who doesn’t attend the school,” she said.
“He’s received an injury to his face and an alleged weapon’s been used as well.”
Sgt McCaig could not confirm the type of weapon that was used during the incident and said it was unclear where the assault had occurred on the school premises.
It is understood the offender, a 15-year-old male, has not been arrested at this stage.
The victim was taken to hospital following the incident for observation with minor injuries.
Sgt McCaig urged any witnesses with information about the incident, particularly in relation to the weapon, to contact the Shepparton police Station on 58 205 777.
