From plants and handmade treasures to garage sale finds and delicious treats, there’s something for everyone at the Tatura Men’s Shed Market Day.
For the past seven years, Evyonne Argus has been bringing her friend Kirk along to the Tatura Men’s Shed, knowing just how much joy it brings him to be surrounded by others in a space where anything is possible.

She sees first-hand the positive impact the shed has on him, the camaraderie, the creativity and the sense of belonging, and as a way of giving back, she has organised a community market day at the shed, with everyone invited.
“We ran a similar market about five years ago and it was huge. So many people have been asking when we’d do another one, so here it comes,” Evyonne said.
“This one really has something for everyone.
“Everything has been donated, and all money raised on the day will go straight back into the men’s shed to help update the dining area for members.”
There will be loads of plants, a monster garage sale packed with all sorts of treasures, handmade items, garden art and unique pieces crafted by Men’s Shed members.
Visitors can also enjoy morning and afternoon tea, a barbecue lunch and a raffle featuring thousands of dollars worth of prizes.
Importantly, everything will be priced affordably, including the barbecue, cakes and coffee, ensuring the day is accessible for everyone in the community.
“Come down, enjoy the day and help support the Men’s Shed, which does so much for so many people,” Evyonne said.
The Tatura Men’s Shed Market Day will be held on Saturday, February 28 at the shed, 157-161 Ross St, Tatura.
