“Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.” (John 14:21 NLT).
To truly know God, we have to be willing to obey him in every area of life.
This means reading his word and putting it into practice. Faith without action is no faith at all.
The more we walk in obedience, the more God reveals Himself to us.
The disciple John was known as ‘The One Jesus Loved’.
He was also the only disciple that did not die a martyr’s death.
The religious leaders could not kill him because God’s presence was with him to a greater extent than with the others.
John’s revelation of how much he was loved by Jesus led him to a greater level of surrender.
When we give our hearts completely to Jesus, we too will experience more of His manifest presence and protection.
