That’s how Graham Hill Eyecare director Mark DePaola sums up this year’s much-loved Sunglasses Expo and fundraiser for the GV Health Foundation.
This year the event coincides with the grand opening of Graham Hill Eyecare’s new home at 94 Nixon St.
On Tuesday, October 28, locals can explore more than 500 designer sunglasses from Gucci, YSL, Tom Ford, Le Specs, Oroton and more.
For many styles it will be the first time available outside of Melbourne.
“It’s a great chance to celebrate our new home and channel some of that excitement into raising money for a cause close to our hearts,” Mr DePaola said.
“We’re hoping to make this our biggest fundraising year yet.”
Since 2022, the annual expo has raised over $60,000 for GV Health’s women’s oncology services.
All sunglasses will be 20 per cent off, with half of all proceeds donated directly to the GV Health Foundation.
For the DePaola family, giving back is personal.
“Our family received so much support from GV Health’s oncology services. Being cared for locally was really important for Amy and I — it’s really special to be able to give back,” Mr DePaola said.
Running from 10am to 7pm, the event offers plenty of time to browse the latest styles, explore the new facility and support a vital local service.
“It’s always a buzz,” Mr DePaola said.
“Our team loves this day and so does the local community.”
This spring, Shepparton locals have a reason to shine — and it starts with a pair of sunnies.
