The day marks the final day before Lent begins for Christians around the world, and is often celebrated with pancakes.
Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Primary School, Elmore and St Joseph’s Primary School, Rochester were among the schools to host a pancake morning tea.
In Elmore, students enjoyed a breakfast of pancakes cooked by volunteer parents.
