It was only fitting that the Magpies clinched the title with a winning score of 36 goals on the day they ended the 36-year drought.
Goulburn Valley League stalwart and B-grade grand final MVP winner Kelly Hill understood the significance of the historic win.
After joining Euroa 10 years ago, Hill was rapt with the 36-26 grand final victory that ended one of the longest premiership droughts in the GVL.
“It means a lot to so many people,” she said.
“I've been fortunate enough to have some success (at Shepparton United) before I came here, but there's a lot of girls here that haven't had any.
“It's really special for the likes of Megan O'Bree, who have played here their entire career and barely had the opportunity to play finals, let alone grand finals.
“And people like Sue Thompson who played in the last premiership, the emotion from her was really lovely for us.
“I thought of her a few times today and it was really nice to get the win for the supporters who have stuck by the club.”
As well as being a momentous day for the Magpie faithful, it was also a remarkable day for Hill.
Umpires judged the defensive general best-on-court.
It capped off a stellar season for Hill, after she claimed the B-grade league best-and-fairest award last week.
“I've just really enjoyed the year to be honest,” she said.
“This year has just been so enjoyable to kick back and play with my friends.
“Those (individual) awards are fantastic, but premierships mean everything.
“You'd give it all back to have a premiership medal and I'm just so proud of the group getting over the line today.”
