NAPLAN started this week
Primary and secondary school students around Deniliquin will have begun NAPLAN testing this week.
The National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) is a literacy and numeracy assessment that students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 sit each year.
The NAPLAN test window started on Wednesday and finishes on Monday, March 23.
It is the only national assessment all Australian students have the opportunity to undertake, although it is only just one aspect of a school’s assessment process and does not replace ongoing assessments made by teachers.
Children will do the NAPLAN tests online, but all Year three students will continue to complete the writing assessment on paper.
Be considerate of all the students with their NAPLAN effort this year.
