She has been busy at home in Mooroopna tending to her very own veggie garden.
Armed with a watering can and plenty of enthusiasm, Ivy takes her gardening duties seriously.
“I water it all the time and make sure it gets lots of sunlight,” Ivy said proudly.
Among the veggies and sweet strawberries growing in her patch, one piece of produce has truly stood out: an oversized tomato, weighing an impressive 700 grams.
Grown in soil from Cleave’s Garden Centre, the tomato has quickly become a local celebrity — and a bit of a workout for its young grower.
“It’s really heavy for me to carry around,” Ivy said with a giggle.
Despite its size, Ivy has big plans for her tomato.
After she has finished showing it off, she hopes to finally enjoy the fruits of her labour — literally.
Watching on with amazement is Ivy’s pop, Alan Price, who admits the tomato was a total surprise.
He said it was unexpected, especially since his own veggie patch next door had not grown anything nearly as impressive.
