The production will see a selected local location transformed into a cinematic, intergalactic universe through the use of advanced CGI and visual effects.
The project will combine on-location filming at venues including Ross Street Café Diner with cutting-edge post-production technology, turning the familiar Tatura setting into a space-inspired world designed to visually capture the song’s themes.
Alien tells the story of falling in love with someone so extraordinary it feels as though they are not from this world — a connection that is both surreal and magnetic.
The video’s concept mirrors this emotion by blending the everyday with the otherworldly, placing a small regional town at the centre of a visually ambitious production.
Anthony said choosing Tatura as the filming location was intentional.
“I wanted to bring this project home,” he said.
“Tatura is where my story started, and there’s something powerful about transforming a place you know so well into something completely unexpected.
“It shows that creativity isn’t limited to big cities — it can come from anywhere.”
Ross Street Café Diner owner Daryl Hooper said the café would be closed for the weekend for filming and that he was excited to get a sneak peek behind the scenes.
“It’s amazing for our little café and town,” he said.
“I’m looking forward to meeting everyone involved and seeing the final result when they put it all together.”
A small production crew, including producers from Los Angeles, London and Melbourne, will travel to the region to work alongside local supporters and businesses during the shoot.
The shoot will feature Dillon Don Paul, a dancer for international pop star Rita Ora, who will be performing with her at the Melbourne Grand Prix.
The project is expected to showcase Tatura to new audiences while highlighting the potential for regional Victoria to host innovative screen and music productions.
Filming is scheduled to take place this weekend, March 7 and 8, with Alien set for release later this year.
