The celebration was filled with laughter, connection and shared pride – but most importantly, it brought smiles to the faces of the residents and was a significant occasion for all involved.
Menarock Aged Care health and wellbeing co-ordinator Liza Del Rosari said Harmony Day was truly a heartwarming success, reminding everyone of the beauty of unity in diversity.
“We celebrate diversity because it makes our community stronger,” she said.
“At Menarock, every culture matters, everyone belongs.”
Participants fully immersed themselves in the day, while staff added colour and excitement, dressing in traditional attire representing their countries, creating rich tapestry of cultures within the facility.
Ms Del Rosari said their efforts not only entertained residents but also fostered a deeper appreciation of diversity among everyone.
“Harmony grows when we appreciate each culture and uplift each other as one community,” she said.
Three judges, made up of family members and volunteers, selected the winners, adding excitement and engagement throughout the event for everyone involved.
