The Eagles traveled to Tallygaroopna Recreation Reserve to face the Northerners, but after the home side won the toss and elected to bat the visitors took full control.
The Jets quickly slumped to 2-9, but despite digging in after that could not lift the scoring rate across their innings at all.
Corey Hickford's 2-14 for Katandra came from 16 overs, sending seven of those down as maidens, while fellow opening bowler Hadleigh Sirett snared 2-24 from his eight overs.
Luke Patel was also miserly in his nine overs, taking 1-7 with six maidens secured, but it was Scott Dickson who claimed the most rewards by claiming 4-20 from the 7.2 overs he sent down.
Glen Davidson (29 from 70 deliveries) and Andrew Boyington (22 from 77) spent more than an hour at the crease each as they looked to deny Katandra a quick kill, but when the Jets eventually ran out of batsmen in the sheds with the score on 112, 53.2 overs had been bowled.
It gave the Eagles plenty of time to adjust to conditions in the middle themselves, with Scott Richardson (11 not out) and Josh McKinnon (five not out) steering their side to stumps on 2-39 from 23 overs.
Ben Clurey (15) and Luke Patel (seven) were the batsmen to fall, with Trent Sidebottom snaring both victims and finishing with 2-14 from seven overs.
