Goulburn Valley Health has stopped providing free influenza vaccinations for all people at the Shepparton vaccination hub.
GV Health said in a statement the change was due to “government supply issues”.
It will continue to provide Fluvax to those eligible under the National Immunisation Program at the McIntosh Centre at Shepparton Showgrounds.
Those eligible include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged six months and over, children aged six months to under five, pregnant women at any stage of pregnancy, people aged 65 and over and people aged six months or over who have medical conditions that means they have a higher risk of getting serious disease.
GV Health said influenza vaccinations were available through participating GPs and pharmacies.
The state government is funding free flu vaccinations for all Victorians aged six months and over between June 1 and June 30.
Victorians should ask their GP or pharmacist if they are involved in the free flu vaccination program before making an appointment.
The government made the vaccination temporarily free for all because of the seriousness of the current flu season, but some priority groups were eligible for free flu vaccination every year.
