Community: Amanda McCulloch has been announced as the new Greater Shepparton Foundation chief executive.

The Greater Shepparton Foundation has appointed a new chief executive.

Amanda McCulloch is the deputy chair of the Goulburn Regional Partnership and has worked across not-for-profit, community and philanthropic organisations, as well as local, state and federal governments.

Greater Shepparton Foundation chair Rhys Holleran said the foundation selected Ms McCulloch following a “very thorough search”.

“She brings a great knowledge of the region and local business with her and has an outstanding record in working in the philanthropic space,” he said.

The philanthropic hub, founded in 2019, was created with the goal to fund courageous and creative solutions to tackle disadvantage in the region.

“I look forward to elevating community driven change in our region and finding ways to address disadvantage, disability and hardship in Greater Shepparton,” Ms McCulloch said.

Ms McCulloch takes over the role from Cheryl Hammer.

Ms Hammer is standing at the state election as the Liberal candidate for the Victorian seat of Shepparton District.

Ms McCulloch will commence official duties with Greater Shepparton Foundation from September 2, 2022.
