Goulburn Valley’s Sri Lankan community comes together for new year celebration

The celebration will begin at 9.30am for the indoor portion of the event and will move outside after lunch.

There will be traditional games and food on offer, and the community will boil milk and light an oil lamp for prosperity and good health in the new year.

Local Singhala students will perform a traditional song and dance to celebrate their culture.

Secretary for the Sri Lankan Association of the Goulburn Valley Udani Aththanayake said “if you like to enjoy Sri Lankan culture, hospitality and food, you should come along.”
