“First-aid and CPR training was identified as a practical life and employability skill that many young people want access to, but may not otherwise have the opportunity to undertake,” Campaspe Shire mayor Daniel Mackrell said.
Participants will learn practical skills to respond confidently in an emergency, including CPR, how to use an automated external defibrillator, and how to manage common injuries and medical emergencies.
“Giving young people the knowledge and confidence to respond in an emergency means they are better equipped to help family members, friends, teammates or members of the community when every second counts,” Cr Mackrell said.
The trainings will take place at Echuca East Recreation Reserve on Friday, October 2 and Saturday, October 3.
