St Anne’s College, Kialla, held its annual Grandparents Day on Friday, July 24, with a whole-school Mass in the morning, followed by primary students bringing their special guests into the classroom.

The calendar favourite saw 145 grandparents in attendance, with students given the opportunity to showcase their school environment.
From 2pm to 3pm, grandparents joined their grandchildren for classroom activities, including board games, craft making, colouring and drawing.
Students said their favourite part of Grandparents Day was “being able to play games with them”.
“Being our Blessed Mother’s mother, she must be the most significant grandmother in history. Naming the school for a grandparent allows us to place emphasis on something children truly need,” Fr Joe Taylor said.
