Classic Christmas tunes echoed down Mangan St on Saturday, December 13, as hundreds turned out with picnic rugs and camping chairs to enjoy a festive evening.
From 7pm, families splayed out on the grass at the Tongala Soundshell heard performances from St Patrick’s and Tongala primary school choirs, each bringing their own unique repertoire to sing and dance to.
The choir performances were supported by the Tongala Embrace Church Band.
There was also plenty for kids to enjoy, including face painting, a jumping castle, and plenty of sugary treats to keep them pumped before a certain special guest arrived.
Children were over the moon when Santa made his way to the stage at the end of the show, giving kids and parents a chance to snap a picture.
Here is what the festive evening looked like through photographer Jordan Townrow’s lens.
