Nineteen participants marked a significant milestone as they graduated from the 2025 Community Leadership Program at a ceremony in Shepparton on Wednesday, September 3.
The program, funded by Greater Shepparton City Council, has been running successfully for 12 years and was delivered by Shane Garner Consulting through seven comprehensive workshops.
These sessions focused on core leadership competencies including communication, public speaking, goal setting and understanding community diversity.
The four-month initiative combined practical workshops with online mentoring and personalised coaching sessions, enabling participants to build leadership capabilities while fostering valuable community networks.
“It is inspiring to see the progress of this year’s graduates,” Deputy Mayor Anthony Brophy said.
“Their commitment to learning and their willingness to embrace new challenges reflects the future leadership of our community.”
“The Community Leadership Program not only builds vital skills, it strengthens local networks and creates lasting connections that lead to real change.”
