The walk was one of the centre’s major events for the year and was met with plenty of excitement and approval from residents.
Lifestyle team volunteer Ruby Wileman took the lead on the event, getting everything organised for the day.
Ms Wileman said she enjoyed the chance to have fun with the residents and was glad it all came together well.

About 35 residents joined in on the fun, donning white shirts as staff sprayed them with colourful powder along the 1km walking course.
Residents in wheelchairs also took part, with staff taking turns to push them around the track.
Other than the walking course, residents were able to enjoy a barbecue, cold drinks and tunes.
A few of the residents’ families also attended on the day to enjoy the event together.

Lifestyle team leader Raquel Blabey said activities such as the fun run were also a chance to keep residents active and to make memories.
“(Residents) were excited, and I think because we’re still in spring, for us, it’s just about keeping fit, keeping active,” she said.
“It gets them (outside) and they’re laughing, having fun and that’s what it’s about. Just because they’re here, doesn’t mean they can’t have fun.
“The main thing is, afterwards they’re going to have something to talk about ... it’s a beautiful home, and we just want our people to keep living and enjoying.”
Phil Lee had plenty of fun on the day.
