District Rural Fire Service volunteers were treated to some quality time with their family and friends in Deniliquin, before the fire seasons ramps up from October 1.

The Rural Fire Service Association hosted a free Family Day at the award-winning The Depot car museum on September 20.
The association provided a free lunch and entry to the museum, providing some well-deserved R&R for members and their loved ones.
RFSA president Scott Campbell, who was in Deniliquin for the celebrations, said Family Days not only recognised the immense value of volunteers but were an important way of acknowledging families for their support of RFS firefighters.
“It was great to catch up and celebrate RFS volunteers and their families ahead of what could be a busy summer,” Mr Campbell said.
“The Family Days are one way the RFSA says thank you to firefighters and their families for the enormous sacrifices they make for our communities.
“The RFSA exists to support members who give their time and energy to help our communities in what can be the among the most challenging days of their lives.”
Rural Fire Service volunteers and their families were given free access to The Depot and treated to lunch.
