Nationals candidate Sam Birrell scooped up 46 per cent of the first-preference votes, followed by the ALP candidate, Kim Travers, who garnered about 24 per cent.
Ms Travers effectively doubled the ALP first preference vote compared to the 2022 election.
Compared to the 2022 election, Mr Birrrell almost doubled his first-preference vote, although it should be pointed out that the conservative vote was split by having both a National Party and Liberal Party candidate.
The One Nation candidate, Aaron Tyrrell, who campaigned very little, recorded 12,000 votes.
A total of 111,000 votes were cast, out of a total eligible voting pool of 121,000.
