The new tower is a significant step forward for residents and businesses to take advantage of digital opportunities that support remote work, online learning, telehealth, and economic growth through the nbn Fixed Wireless Network.
Funded in partnership with the New South Wales Government, the tower means a faster, more reliable broadband experience, with smoother, higher-resolution video calls, enhanced streaming, faster downloads, and the ability to connect more devices.
Mayor Cheryl Cook welcomed the investment, highlighting its importance for the region’s growth.
“Federation Shire is a major agricultural powerhouse in NSW so better connectivity will open opportunities for local businesses, improve access to essential services and help families stay connected,” Cr Cook said.
“Our communities rely heavily on telecommunications, so these improvements to digital infrastructure are absolutely critical.”
The new tower went live last month.
