On Thursday, November 13, state Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes announced Echuca Primary School and Echuca Twin Rivers Primary School were among 46 recipients of the money.
Echuca Primary School will receive nearly $240,000, and Twin Rivers will see close to $39,000 of funding as part of the Planned Maintenance Program.
“Our Planned Maintenance Program invests in our schools and the future of our kids, so they can thrive in state-of-the-art facilities,” Ms Symes said.
Under the program, schools use the funding to carry out essential works on infrastructure, such as fixing roofs, replacing windows or resurfacing exteriors.
Works are determined by a rolling facilities evaluation process, which provides up-to-date information on the condition of schools.
Including this round of funding, the program has provided over $128 million for 368 projects at 320 schools this year.
Six rounds have been announced this year, with an extra round dedicated to bushfire preparedness in August.
Deputy Premier Ben Carroll said the government was investing across Victoria.
“We are working to ensure every Victorian school across the Education State can provide students with modern, safe and engaging learning environments,” he said.
