Drop in and have your say on road safety

Greater Shepparton City Council is hosting a community drop-in session to get a better understanding of road safety issues that impact the community.

The session will inform council about community concerns about road safety and hear ideas to address the issues.

The session will also play a part in the development of a mobility and road safety strategy, which will align with the Victoria Road Safety Strategy to halve deaths and reduce serious injuries by 2030.

Council manager of engineering and assets Ben Gannon said community members were encouraged to drop in at any time during the session to share their thoughts.

“This is an important document for council, and we want to ensure the thoughts and ideas of all road users within the municipality are captured,” he said.

The final mobility and road safety strategy will be made public in early 2025.

An online survey is also active, gathering more information to best shape the strategy.
