Prep to Year 2 students from all Kyabram district primary schools gathered in mixed groups, enjoying sports activities while forming new friendships across different schools.
The event was hosted by Kaboom Kid Sports, a specialised program provider that creates inclusive sporting activities designed to suit every child's individual abilities and confidence level.
Older students took on leadership roles, guiding younger children through diverse activities, including the colourful rainbow parachute, net-and-ball games, bowling, mini-golf and other challenges.
Carmen Nicholson, co-ordinator of the event, said hosting the annual inter-school event was a highlight of the year.
“It’s a good opportunity for the schools around the area to get together on one oval,” she said.
“And it gets the kids out and active.”
Rainbow parachute is a favourite in primary schools, and that was no different at this event.
