This year’s festival exhibitions provide a unique opportunity for residents and visitors to explore the region’s vibrant arts community.
From stunning photography and beautiful paintings to handcrafted ceramics and live street art, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Highlights include the Broken River Painters exhibition at the Scout Hall and the Broken River Potters display at BARC Hut 66, both offering works for sale.
Visitors can also explore rural township exhibitions, including handcrafted stained-glass, mosaics and naturally dried floral creations at the Birchwood Open Garden.
Benalla Rural City deputy mayor and Benalla Festival Advisory Committee chair Justin King said the exhibitions captured the heart of Benalla’s creative spirit.
“The Benalla Festival is all about celebrating our local talent and giving people the chance to experience the amazing work being created in our region,” Cr King said.
“Visiting the exhibitions is a wonderful way to connect with artists, find unique pieces and support our local community.
“There really is something for everyone, whether you’re after a handcrafted gift or simply want to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.”
Festival-goers will also have the chance to see live art in action.
Street artist Aurora Campbell will extend her mural at the Benalla Visitor Information Centre from November 1 to 9, offering the opportunity to watch a professional artist at work.
Photography enthusiasts can celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Benalla Camera Club with a special exhibition at the Benalla Visitor Information Centre, running throughout the festival.
The exhibitions provide a perfect day out for families, art lovers and collectors alike.
Visitors are encouraged to explore, support local artists and enjoy all that Benalla Rural City has to offer.
