The Shepparton and District Dahlia Club fundraiser will be hosted at the Billabong Garden Complex on Saturday, 15 October.
President Rodney Clarke said the sale would help fund the club’s show in March.
“This fundraiser is important to keep the club running into the future and has helped us have the funds for future shows,” he said.
Mr Clarke said the fundraiser would sell tubers of dahlias for $8 and bags of a dozen unnamed tubers for $20.
“We were selling at bargain prices normally. They get expensive because they are trendy for florists,” he said.
As well as selling the tubers, club members will be on hand to teach beginners in dahlia growing how to develop and maintain the flowers.
Mr Clarke encouraged everyone to pop in, and said prospective club members could sign up on the day.
“We currently have 30 members and also welcome new members,” he said.
“We meet monthly from October to May, and it is a great way for those who want to get gardening to get into it,” he said.
The event will run from 9am to 4pm and entry is free.
