The improper use of the facility has led to repeated blockages, costing council thousands of dollars in plumbing repairs.
Despite clear signage and CCTV monitoring, the issue persists, with wet wipes causing significant damage to the dump point.
Benalla Mayor Bernie Hearn expressed her concerns.
"We’re proud to offer this free service to RV travellers, but it’s simply not designed to handle wet wipes,“ she said.
“These so-called 'flushable' wipes don’t break down and cause costly blockages.
“We need everyone’s co-operation to keep this facility open."
The dump point has reopened after the latest blockage was cleared, but Cr Hearn warned that continued misuse could lead to its permanent closure.
"If the problem continues, we may have no choice but to decommission the dump point and explore other options, which would be a loss for visitors, with a flow-on effect on businesses," she said.
“Council is urging all users to dispose of wet wipes responsibly and to only use the dump point for its intended purpose.
"Let’s work together to keep this valuable service running.“
