The vicar of St Augustine’s Anglican Church, Shepparton, the Reverend Jerome Francis, acknowledged he felt privileged to be the celebrant on Founders Day at All Saints Anglican School, Shepparton.
The school marks this occasion with a special service to commemorate its founding; it is a time for the community to come together as the event reflects on the school’s history and values.
Rev’d Jerome went on to say that Founders Day was held annually, and that once again it was uplifting to see students, staff and some parents come together to honour this special moment in the school's story.
Moments like these remind us how strongly our community is held together by faith, gratitude and a shared purpose. The joy on the students’ faces said it all.
The staff's pride was inspiring.
And the presence of families made the celebration feel complete.
Rev’d Jerome concluded with a special word of thanks to Bill Boyer, co-ordinator of Faith and Mission, for his warm invitation and support, and added it was also wonderful to see Kelly McKay, the head of middle school, who is part of our church community.
