Ageing gracefully: St Augustine’s College Foundation students took on the personas of baby boomers when they were involved in the 100 days of school celebrations. Performing in front of teachers and parents last week were Mia Parker, Chase James and Ariella.
Cardigans, hair rollers, braces, thick-rimmed glasses and pearl necklaces were the order of the day last week at St Augustine’s College.

The five and six-year-old students who make up the school’s Foundation classes were disguised as the older generation in a salute to them having completed 100 days of school.
The goal of celebrating 100 days of school is to reinforce reading, writing and, most importantly, maths skills they have learnt.
The milestone was first celebrated in 1979 in Livermore, California, and is now a significant part of classroom culture, with students dressing as grandmas and grandpas to salute the event.
