Cleeland’s office happy to help Benalla community add driver’s licence to phone

“We know the rollout of this system has not made things easy for many of our older residents, or those without computers, so I am helping to make sure that no-one interested will miss out,” Ms Cleeland said.

“If you need assistance, bring your phone, your physical licence and another form of ID, like a Medicare card, to my electorate office at 25 Bridge St East, Benalla, and my team will be happy to help.

“Having a digital copy of your licence can be a convenient way to prove your right to drive, confirm your identity at hotels or other retailers, or demonstrate that you’re over 18 years old when entering licensed venues.”

The digital licence is currently only available for those with a full driver’s licence, and with many of those in the community wanting to stick to their physical licence, this digital licence is optional.

Ms Cleeland’s office will be open Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm, for anyone needing assistance with this or any other concern they may have.
