The woodworkers have made a variety of toys, including classics like cars and aeroplanes, along with more modern items such as phone holders.
Having been being made since April, the toys are evidence of the group’s hard work for the year.

GV Woodworkers toy co-ordinator Shelley Wylie said the group had been donating the quality toys to FamilyCare for the past 20 years, to go to children in families they supported throughout the year.
“We all get together once a month on a Saturday and the members come in and we use that time to make the toys,” she said.
“Some people work on them at home and bring them in.”
FamilyCare works with families involved with child and family services, and also provides carer and disability support.
The organisation also receives toys from the community via gift trees around town, with tags specifying ages and genders of children they want to get gifts for.
People can take a tag, purchase a corresponding gift, and place the unwrapped item under the tree, and FamilyCare will distribute the gifts to the clients who need them.
A list of gift tree locations is available on the FamilyCare website at familycare.net.au
Anyone interested in getting in the Christmas spirit early and joining the woodworkers in 2026 can visit their website at gvwoodworkers.com.au
