A cattle truck rollover has closed the Hume Fwy in both directions between Benalla and Glenrowan on Tuesday, November 11.
While the rollover occurred in the southbound lanes, sections of the northbound lanes have also been closed.
Northbound lanes are closed at Benalla-Winton Rd, and southbound lanes at Glenrowan-Moyhu Rd.
Traffic in both directions are using Winton-Glenrowan Rd under the direction of traffic management.
The Department of Transport and Planning, which reported the closure at 9.56am, has advised motorists to allow extra time and drive to the conditions.
The closure is under the control of emergency services, and the freeway will reopen once investigations and the truck recovery works are complete.
