RDA Deniliquin is always looking for volunteers, with those interested asked to come along to this Friday’s annual general meeting.
It will be held from 10am at the Deniliquin Pony Club Grounds, in Smart Street Deniliquin.
RDA president Luke Harrington said the simple reality is that “the more people who come down to help, the more people we are then able to help”.
“It is very fulfilling to be a part of RDA, and the volunteers enjoy it just as much as the riders.”
RDA Deniliquin runs every second Friday during school term.
The day starts around 8.30am and runs until lunchtime or just after.
Any changes are notified via the group’s Facebook page.
Morning tea is provided and often there is also a barbecue lunch which the riders help prepare.
Also coming up for RDA Deniliquin is a coaches and volunteer training weekend on February 24 and 25.
The Better Basics weekend will be held at the Deniliquin Pony Club grounds and will be led by two coach assessors.
Presenters will be Jan Crosser, Judy Doyle and Mr Harrington.
The topics to be covered will include leading, side walking, tacking up, mounting and dismounting, assessing an RDA horse and a demonstration of horsemanship ground games.
