The Blues well and truly came to town last week, with Carlton players Nic Newman, Hudson O’Keeffe, Will Hayward and Campbell Chesser dropping in to Congupna Primary School to give students a footy experience they won’t soon forget.

The visit turned the school oval into a mini-MCG, as excited students practised their kicks, handballs and marks alongside the AFL stars, soaking up tips and plenty of encouragement.
From perfecting drop punts to asking their heroes questions, the kids made the most of every minute, with smiles, laughter and plenty of footballs flying through the air.
For the Blues, it was all about giving back, connecting with the next generation of footy fans and showing that even the biggest names in the game started out just like them — kicking a ball around at school.
And judging by the cheers, high-fives and some very enthusiastic goal celebrations, Congupna is now home to more than a few new Carlton supporters.
