Mr Farrow has put his hand up and successfully gained a place at the festival for the second year in a row.
As a small business owner in Bendigo, he prefers to create art as a hobby rather than as a full-time profession.
“I’m actually a body piercer and I do art as a hobby, for fun,” Mr Farrow said.
“I predominantly make digital art like graphic design work and promotional work for bars and other businesses.”
Mr Farrow has always been creative.
“I’ve always done art in some form or another, whether it be digital or otherwise.”
He participated in the Jamestown mural festival many years ago.
He explained he was first drawn to mural festivals by his father-in-law who is a painting and sculpting artist.
“My father-in-law has done both Jamestown and Rochester a few times.”
Mr Farrow admitted it had been fun getting back in touch with his artistic side while working on his mural creation for Rochester.
As to why Mr Farrow is coming back for his second year at Rochester, he said it was because of the people from the Rochester community.
“It was all very welcoming, warm and inviting and so were the artists.”
“It was also just fun — it was a really good experience and Rochy as a town is fantastic.”
Mr Farrow hopes to make the journey back and forth from Bendigo each day for the event so that he doesn’t have to stay away from his family for too long.
He said if “push comes to shove” and he’s “running out of time”, then he may have to consider spending some nights in Rochester to get the job done.
The clue provided by Mr Farrow about the song he will be painting is that it is “classic Aussie rock with a hint of AFL”.
