John Holland are continuing the construction of the Benalla Station Precinct upgrades throughout August.

Work being done:
Construction of the new western platform, lift shafts, pedestrian underpass, access ramps and stairs (Railway Pl side)
Construction of the new station carpark
Construction of temporary facilities (Railway Pl side)
Installation of lighting and underground services
Approved vegetation removal.
What to expect?
Extended works 6am-6pm Monday to Saturday
Low impact overnight works within station precinct, as required
The Benalla station platform, carpark and access road are closed with designated accessible and on-street parking along Carrier St
Coaches replace all V/Line passenger services
Bus stop located on Mackellar St for V/Line and Public Transport services
Pedestrian access to the station from Mackellar St will be maintained
Traffic management, single-lane shuttle-flow and temporary detours, as required
Nearby residents may experience some noise and vibration.
Benalla Station is undergoing massive upgrades as part of the Inland Rail project.
From Monday, August 31:
Passenger trains will resume from the new west platform which will be accessible from Railway Pl, via the new pedestrian underpass
The Benalla Station will temporarily close and temporary ticketing and coach stop facilities will be available on Railway Pl.
Machinery being used
Trucks, excavators, front-end loader, grader, cranes, tippers, earthmoving equipment, concrete trucks, rollers, elevated work platforms, piling rigs and support vehicles.

Environmental controls in place
Cancellation or extension of works
Works can sometimes take longer than anticipated or be cancelled at short notice and rescheduled.
Should this occur, impacted residents will be notified.
