Urgent safety asphalt surfacing works are scheduled for the Welsford and Fryers street intersection on Sunday.
Greater Shepparton City Council confirmed the road would be closed along Welsford St (northbound lane) and Fryers St (left-turning lane) from 6.30am to 5pm.
All northbound heavy vehicles will be detoured to Doyles Rd (Shepparton Alternate Route) via High St (Midland Hwy).
Council urged motorists and residents to take care and be aware of detours.
