Applications opened on Friday, January 9, with four grant categories available to support a wide range of community initiatives.
Small Town Festive Decorations grants of up to $3000 are available to help small towns brighten their main streets or public spaces during the festive season.
Community Matching grants of up to $4000 support one-off projects and events that bring people together and strengthen community connections.
Minor and Major Event grants offer up to $2000 for minor events and up to $5000 for major events that attract visitors and enhance participation, inclusion and wellbeing.
Creative Cities grants of up to $5000 are available to support local artists and creative projects that contribute to Greater Shepparton’s vibrant cultural identity.
Mayor Shane Sali encouraged groups to start planning for the year ahead and consider how the grants could bring their ideas to life.
He said the program was designed to support creative, impactful projects that benefit the broader community, with strong interest shown in round one.
An online information session will be held on Wednesday, February 4 from 6pm to 7pm.
Applications close at 5pm on Monday, March 2.
