Shepparton Airport’s annual open day provided the public with an opportunity to view various local and visiting aircraft, meet local pilots and learn how the aerodrome supports emergency services, training and local industry.

Visitors were able to explore inside some of the aircraft and go flying in others, either as a joy flight passenger or a curious future aviator under instruction.

After the morning’s open session on November 16, a pilot forum was held at the airport during the afternoon.

Membership attraction and retention, aircraft insurance challenges, future opportunities for regional clubs, and council engagement, planning and development pressures were covered for instructors and Victorian club representatives.
The gold coin entry fee from patrons will be donated to charity.
