The exhibition showcases the outstanding pieces that emerged victorious in the ‘A Cup of Shepp and GV’ art contest.
Held over four weeks from July to August 2023, the competition provided residents from Shepparton, Mooroopna, Tatura, Dookie and Murchison with the opportunity to express their creativity by crafting artwork representing their respective towns.
City of Greater Shepparton Mayor Shane Sali congratulated the winners and encouraged residents to immerse themselves in the local artistic talent on display.
“We congratulate the winners for their remarkable creativity and talent, and we are very excited to have their artwork exhibited for the community to enjoy,” he said.
“This exhibition serves as a great opportunity to showcase our small towns and the talented people within our community. We also invite locals to explore the visitor centre and discover everything it has to offer. It’s the perfect place to find out about all the fantastic things you can do in our region.”
For art enthusiasts, ceramic coffee cups and mugs featuring the winning artwork are available for purchase at the visitor centre. The council encourages both community members and visitors to make their way to the visitor centre and discover the exceptional local talent representing the region.
