A credit to ERH’s service

Echuca Regional Health has achieved National Safety and Quality Health Service accreditation from the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care.

This milestone highlights ERH’s commitment to providing the highest standards of care for its patients and community.

Accreditation is used by health care organisations to continuously improve their quality of care.

Organisations must demonstrate during a three-year period how they have improved their services.

The attainment carries over from ERH’s last assessment period in 2021, meaning accreditation has been retained.

Executive director nursing and midwifery/chief nursing officer Maree Woodhouse said ERH was thrilled to receive the accreditation.

“It reflects our dedication to supporting everyone to be healthy and live well,” she said.

“This achievement is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our entire team, from our doctors and nurses to our support staff, who strive every day to provide compassionate, high-quality care.”

The accreditation process involved a comprehensive evaluation of the hospital’s practices, patient safety protocols and overall quality of care.

ERH demonstrated excellence in clinical governance, patient satisfaction and leadership.
