Police have released photos of the Malibu VTX Wakesetter, worth more than $130 000, in an appeal for public assistance.
It is believed unknown offenders attended a Bundalong address about noon on Tuesday, February 25 and cut the tow hitch lock.
The offenders then fled the scene in a white Toyota Landcruiser utility towing the 2018 Malibu VTX Wakesetter boat, registration UD941 and tow trailer registration Y63384.
Following the theft, Mr Winterbottom took to Facebook saying his family boat was stolen from their Bundalong home.
“Please keep your eye out around Australia and share/send this to anyone you think could have seen it. Appreciate your help,” the post read.
Mr Winterbottom also said on Facebook the boat was spotted around midnight on Feb 26 being towed by a dual cab on Numurkah-Katamatite Rd, before continuing on to Walshs Bridge Rd, heading towards either Echuca or Nathalia/Barmah.
Investigators have released images of the stolen boat and the white Toyota Landcruiser in the hope someone may know the vehicle’s current whereabouts.
Anyone with information about the theft is urged to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
