Shepparton Marketplace has delayed its opening hours this morning, due to a power outage caused by a truck rolling over on Doyles Rd, Orrvale this morning at around 5.20am.
Marketplace centre manager Theresa Lowe said the shopping hub had been impacted by a local area power outage, and as a result the centre was closed.
“The safety of our customers and retailers is our highest priority,” she said.
“The latest update from local authorities is that power should be reinstated shortly, allowing the shopping centre to return to normal trading operations.
“Please monitor the Shepparton Marketplace Facebook page for updates.”
Shepparton Marketplace reopened its doors to the public at 12.30pm, but Marketplace hair salon JustCuts closed for the day, according to the Shepparton Marketplace Facebook page.
A Powercor spokesman said about 1200 customers in Shepparton experienced a power outage just before 5.20am on Monday.
"The outage was a result of a vehicle collision with a pole," the spokesman said.
"All customers’ power was restored by 1:30pm."
