The livestream, held in the boardroom at council's Welsford St offices, will present the latest research on simple changes groups, clubs or organisations can make to help more women get active.
City of Greater Shepparton Mayor Seema Abdullah said the more women signing up and participating in local physical activity programs, competitions and activities, the better.
“I encourage our local community to get involved in this satellite event workshop and take home some simple tips and tricks to help more women get active,” she said.
The livestream will be held on Thursday, January 30 from 9.45 am. After the stream, attendees will get a healthy lunch and networking opportunity.
Those who tune into the livestream will hear from women across Victoria experienced in creating programs and places that appeal to women.
Attendees will be the first to get their hands on the new This Girl Can guide and leave with a clear plan of action.
This free event is for anyone who gets people active — gyms, sports clubs, local councils, community groups and beyond.
Bookings via Eventbrite are essential and must be made by Friday, January 24 at: tgc2020shepparton.eventbrite.com.au
