Seventeen teachers from four high schools in Shepparton have started a mo-vement.
Together the Good Stache Club hopes to raise as much money as possibly to break the stigma around men speaking openly about men’s health issues.
Team captain Ben Murphy said $1500 had already been raised.
He said he was overwhelmed by the generosity of the sponsors and people who had already donated to the team.
“The students across the four schools are eager to see the growth in hair across their teacher’s top lip throughout the month,” he said.
“Further donations can be made throughout the month of Movember and the team strongly encourage others to speak openly about their health and to support one another.”
Mr Murphy said this was the first time the four high schools had taken part, but Shepparton High School had been involved for eight years.
Wild Life Brewing have jumped on board to donate products to help raise funds, while Get Chopped Barber and Beer'd were on hand this month to wipe the slate clean, providing a cut-throat shave for team members.
