Shepparton Art Museum’s built to level three

By Geoff Adams

Construction workers were last week preparing for the next concrete pour on level three of the new Shepparton Art Museum being built at Victoria Park Lake.

The level two deck has been poured and the level two verticals were completed.

The new SAM will be a five-storey building housing the museum, visitor centre, and the Kaiela Art Gallery and studio.
The 5300 sq/m building will also house a café and event space, with a rooftop viewing deck.

A 33m x 33m cube-like form, the new $50 million museum is located on the south-eastern corner of Victoria Park Lake, just off Wyndham St.
